photoblog image TWO LITTLE PEARS

TWO LITTLE PEARS

Thanks everyone for the comments and visits I had last week. I look forward to them (good or bad) and I really do appreciate the effort.  Another reminder is that you could win yourself £100 simply by sending e-cards on this web site.  The more you send, the greater your chances of winning. How cool is that?!

My own take on the fruit theme. I must say its the hardest picture I have ever had to produce. And I was feeling very discouraged while trying to realise my vision. Actually I was disappointed, as the final image was a far cry from what I had envisioned in my head. But now, I'm actually starting to like it. Hope you do as well.

Sometime last week I posted my 50th picture on Shutterchance. WOW! Its amazing how you find the ideas, inspiration and zeal to do things once you can get started. Well still some more to go before I hit 100.

deji77: Thanks Yanik.
Lovely photos you have on your own blog. I'll be making regularly visits.
I like this, what exactly did you do ?
deji77: I guess what really made the shot stand out is that I used a tripod. They're both of the same fruit.

1. They were captured in my kitchen that has brightish lighting. I also took the shots against a black background. I used a black t-shirt of mine.
2. In PS I selected each fruit and then dumped them into another picture with a black background.
3. Placed around with curve and hue/saturation adjustment layers.

That's an interesting shot! I think it'd be nice if you had one more uneaten pear on the right to make a pattern... smile I'm curious about how you shot this so cleanly and with such good lighting, great work.
deji77: Thanks Veloran.
LOL. It actually started life as three shots: the third being the full fruit. But that didn't look as good as the other two, so I dropped it sad
I've placed an explanation on the blog.
Awesome stuff Deji, very impressive!!
deji77: Thanks Ashish for stopping by.
