finally made the trip to cardiff! so over the next few days i'll feature a few of the interesting shots i took. this was taken at the bristol parkway station.
i have a passion for watches and i fell in love with the sheer simplicity and elegance of this one. as a kid i went through the lot of digital watches: game ones, calculator ones, databank ones, sport ones. but now i'm strictly with analogs. i have a swatch irony and presently wearing a monstrous CK chronograph, but i will soon get a simple longines ;)
any stories to tell about your wrist watches??

Been to Bristol Parkway station a couple of times, good eye. Where exactly is this clock? You should go to Geneva with your camera.

deji77: gosh! i'm blushing....we just talking about the pic here
Well seen. (I think, from my take on photography, that this could become one of my most frequent comments!)
By the time digital watches were invented, I was already and adult, (albeit a young one), but prior to that, if a watch was not "anti-magnetic", even a new one would stop working after a few days on my wrist. Give it to my brother and it would work fine.
When I was at school, I was known for my many watches. It was almost as if I'd wear a different watch for each day of the week. Man! I remember those days.
deji77: lol and i too remember all too clearly. particularly ur game ones. argh!!!
I do like the simplicity of this shot. Sadly I don't know any wrist watch stories...oh hold on, I do! I have a scar from childhood caused by an innocuous scratch from a friend's watch strap...does that qualify? It's a scar I'm proud of.
p.s. I've not worn a watch for years.
deji77: it does qualify by my accounts wat a way to remember watches!
Looks like it's a digitally composed 3d image, I think the shadow of the hands on the clock add to the image along with the blank space below the image. Well done.
none. except thata need one pwetty soon!
